Individual Psychotherapy & Counselling in Enfield Town & Online

A compassionate, professional space to explore, heal, and find your way forward.

Life can occasionally feel overwhelming, heavy, or confusing. You might find yourself constantly battling anxious thoughts, feeling trapped by old emotional patterns, or struggling to navigate a major life change. Sometimes, it is hard to pinpoint exactly what is wrong—you just know that the way you are living right now isn't working.

Counselling and psychotherapy offer a dedicated, confidential space away from your daily life to slow down, look beneath the surface, and make sense of your experiences without fear of judgment.

How I Work: My Therapeutic Approach

I practice as a Humanistic Integrative therapist with a Transpersonal perspective. This means I do not see you as a set of symptoms to be fixed, but as a whole human being—body, mind, feelings, and soul—navigating a complex life experience.

My approach bridges the gap between traditional psychological depth and your broader search for meaning, combining three distinct pillars:

  • Humanistic Core: I provide a warm, genuinely empathetic, and equal relationship. I believe you possess an innate capacity for self-healing and growth. My role is to create the safe, non-judgmental conditions required for you to rediscover your own inner wisdom and voice.

  • Integrative Flexibility: Because human beings are unique, I draw from different therapeutic frameworks (including psychodynamic insights and body-focused trauma awareness) to tailor our sessions exactly to you. We work at a pace that respects your emotional boundaries.

  • The Transpersonal Perspective: "Transpersonal" means beyond the personal. While we will address everyday struggles like anxiety, depression or relationship issues, we also hold space for the deeper, existential dimension of your life. We will explore questions of identity, purpose and meaning, viewing your current psychological pain not just as a crisis, but as a potential turning point or catalyst for a deeper spiritual and personal awakening.

I do not believe in offering rigid, one-size-fits-all solutions or generic advice. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to act as a skilled, compassionate collaborator.

My practice is deeply relational and integrative. This means I draw safely from different therapeutic frameworks to tailor our sessions to your specific needs:

  • Psychodynamic Insight: Exploring how your past experiences, early childhood, and formative relationships might be unconsciously shaping your choices, relationship patterns, and self-esteem today.

  • Humanistic Core: Providing a warm, genuinely empathetic, and authentic relationship where you feel completely safe to express your deepest vulnerabilities.

  • Trauma-Informed Focus: Recognizing how chronic stress or past adversity impacts your nervous system, and using grounding techniques to help you feel safe in your body again.

Issues I Can Help You Navigate

I work with adults experiencing a broad spectrum of human struggles, including:

  • Anxiety and Stress: Managing chronic worry, panic attacks, social anxiety, or a constant underlying sense of dread.

  • Depression and Low Mood: Exploring feelings of emptiness, heavy sadness, a lack of motivation, or feeling disconnected from joy.

  • Self-Esteem and Identity: Tackling a persistent inner critic, feelings of low self-worth, or navigating major identity shifts.

  • Relational Difficulties: Understanding repeated patterns in your friendships, family dynamics, or workplace interactions.

  • Loss and Life Transitions: Moving through grief, bereavement, relationship endings, or the disorientation of a major lifestyle change.

What to Expect: Your First Session

Taking the first step into a therapy room takes courage. Our initial session is a gentle, introductory consultation.

There is no pressure to share your entire life story right away. We will simply discuss what brings you to therapy at this point in your life, what you hope to gain from the process, and answer any practical questions you might have about how we work. It is an opportunity for both of us to see if we feel like a good fit for one another.

If we choose to proceed, we will typically meet at the same time each week for a 50-minute session. We can work on a short-term basis to look at a specific issue, or on an open-ended, long-term basis for deeper psychological exploration. If suitable and in some circumstances, frequency of sessions can be reviewed i.e. fortnightly (weekly is by far more aligned with therapeutic effectiveness.)

Flexible Formats to Fit Your Schedule

To ensure therapy is as accessible as possible, I offer a seamless hybrid model:

  • In-Person (Enfield Town, EN2): Sessions take place in my private, comfortable, and quiet consulting room located in central Enfield Town, offering an intentional, physical boundary away from home or work.

  • Online (UK-Wide): Sessions are conducted via a secure, encrypted, and fully GDPR-compliant video link, allowing you to access consistent, professional support from the convenience and privacy of your own home.
